This is the garden of the inn. Read below for our gardener's description of one of our favorite plants here at the Inn:
Whipples Penstemon
Penstemon whippleanus
This wild perennial is native to the US intermountain west. We like its unique dark purple blooms that can look almost black at times.
Whipples Penstemon will tolerate Zones 4-9. Sow seeds in the Fall in medium to course soil in a spot with plenty of sun. Blooms Late Spring/Early Summer.
