Solstice Harp Available at Last
Kirkmount is excited to announce that our latest album, Solstice Harp, is complete and will be available September 2, 2010.
Our fans have long requested a solo celtic harp CD, and after many years of planning and countless hours of hard work, we are all very pleased with the result.
The music of Solstice Harp ponders and celebrates the many seasons of life. Alex wrote a majority of the tunes on the CD, taking inspiration from the people and places closest to his heart. True to Kirkmount tradition, he included many a lively jig along with the sweet, soulful airs.
You can pre-order CDs through our Shop page. We plan to start shipping out orders beginning September 7, 2010.
If you're in the neighborhood, Alex will be performing at the Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous in Wyoming September 3-6 and will have CD's available there (see below).
Alex to Perform at Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous
It's that time of year again. As summer draws to a close, Labor Day Weekend brings us to the Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous. Though the whole Kirkmount family will unfortuately not be able to attend, visitors to the event will be able to hear Alex' incomparable harp amongst the bustling of the traders at the historic fort.
If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and lend an ear. It's a fun opportunity to take a step back in time. Also, Alex will have his new solo Celtic harp CD, Solstice Harp, available for purchase at the event.
